Box Score 2 WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The York College volleyball squad kept on rolling as the Spartans won the 24th Annual Warrior Tip Off Classic hosted by Lycoming College. The Spartans won their two matches on Saturday to go 4-0 for the weekend as they did not drop a set en route to the tournament title. The Spartans handled Dickinson 3-0 in the first match of the day and then completed their stay in Williamsport with a 3-0 win over Misericordia.

The Spartans improve to 9-1, their best start since 2010 when the Spartans started the campaign with a mark of 22-1 en route to an overall record of 27-6 … the tournament championship is the first under the guidance of second year head coach Tim Bonitz … the title is the first for the Green and White since they won the 11th Annual Greyhound Premiere Invitational with a 4-0 record to open the 2013 season … Alexis Harbold earned All-Tournament team honors after she 44 digs in 12 sets played …. Harbold also had 10 service aces and 10 assists during the weekend … Harbold recorded a career-high 21 digs in the win over Dickinson, it is the second time she was over 20 digs in a match … Brooke Krebs tied her career-high with 17 kills in the win over Dickinson … York banged out a season-high 14 service aces in the win over Misericordia while they also had nine blocks including five solos in the match ... the Spartans have won six straight matches with all six wins coming via 3-0 decisions.
What's Next:
The Spartans make their long awaited home debut against Gettysburg College on Wednesday night in Wolf Gymnasium. The match will be the Spartans' first home game after opening the season with 10 matches on the road. The match is slated for a 7:00 pm start.
