Spartan Men Earn Impressive Win Over Salisbury in Home Opener

YORK, PA – The York College men's swim squad opened their 2016-17 Capital Athletic Conference schedule with a 166-96 win over Salisbury University in the Spartans' home opener in York on Saturday.

Meet Notes:

Freshman Jesse Tate set a new pool record in the 200 IM, breaking the previous record of 2:00.20 by 1.22 seconds … Tate was just .06 seconds away from breaking the pool record in the 100 butterfly … Tate has won three races in his first two collegiate meets … Matthew Terrell is now 2-0 in the 1000 free …  Morgan Schreiber has posted a trio of wins in the Spartans first two meets including two wins on Saturday.

 

Up Next:

The Spartans head out on the road for a month long road trip as they head to St. Mary's College to face the Seahawks in a Capital Athletic Conference meet in St. Mary's City, Maryland. The Spartans will spend the entire month of November on the road as they won't return home until Saturday, December 3 when they host Messiah College in a non-conference meet.
