HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first set saw the Spartans push out to a quick 6-2 lead only to have Frostburg State tie the set at 11. The set was tied again at 12 and 13 and then the Bobcats hit York with a quick 5-0 run. The Spartans answered with a 7-2 spurt to tie the set at 20. York ripped off five of the final seven points of the set to capture the 25-22 set win.

Saturday's Notes:

The Spartans have now won two straight after experiencing a three game losing skid … The Spartans continue to play without injured starters Brooke Krebs and Kerrie DeFelice as there is no time table for their returns … the 3-0 win was the Spartans' 15th straight sets win for the year … freshman Hannah McMaster had a career-high 19 digs in the win over Southern Virginia and followed that up with 18 digs in the win over the Bobcats … the 19 wins for the Spartans are the most since the 2010 squad went 27-6 … the win avenges a tough 3-2 loss to FSU last season.

What's Next:

The Spartans close out their three-game home stand on Wednesday night with a match against Goucher College. The game is the final non-conference match of the year for the Spartans and will start at 7:00 pm.
