YORK, PA – The York College volleyball squad earned a 3-1 Capital Athletic Conference victory over visiting Southern Virginia University on Monday night at Charles Wolf Gymnasium.

The Spartans improve to 12-16 on the season and are now 3-4 in the Capital Athletic Conference. The Knights fall to 6-20 overall and now stand at 1-6 in the league.

The Spartans won the match by scores of 25-16, 18-25, 25-16, and 25-15.

York was led by freshman Eryn Brady (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) as she banged out 11 kills in 21 attempts. She also had an assist and a block assist. Fellow freshman Brooke Krebs (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) added 10 kills in 22 attempts with seven digs and a block assist.

Junior Sarah Wukitch (East Greenville, Pa./Southern Lehigh) handed out 31 assists and drove home four service aces for the Green and White. Senior libero Katherine Graziano (Elkridge, Md./Archbishop Spalding) recorded a match-high 26 digs in the victory.

The Spartans return to action on Wednesday night when they host St. Mary's College in a key Capital Athletic Conference contest. The match is slated for a 7:00 pm start. York will honor their three seniors, Graziano, Alison Dorsey (Elkridge, Md./Long Reach), and Lindsay Jackson (Goshen, N.Y./Goshen Central), prior to the contest on Wednesday night.
