Karlie Dougherty

Former Spartan All-American Karlie Dougherty begins her third season as a member of the women's lacrosse coaching staff.

Dougherty, a 2015 York College graduate, and joins the program after serving as the assistant coach for the Essex Women’s lacrosse program for the 2016 season.

Dougherty is one of the most accomplished women’s lacrosse players to come out of the Spartan program. She is ranked fifth in the York record books for career games started (56), games played (70), and caused turnovers (70). 

She had one of the best senior campaigns of anyone in the program’s 12 year history. She earned First team All Capital Athletic Conference, first-team all-Metro Region, and earned a spot in the DIII All Star game.  She led the team to their best result in history as the Spartans advanced to the NCAA Elite 8 in May 2015. Because of her efforts that season, she earned IWLCA First-Team All-American; the program’s first player to achieve first-team All-American status.

In June 2015 Dougherty was once again recognized for her outstanding senior campaign, as she was announced as the IWLCA Division III Defender of the Year.

Dougherty will assist Muston in all aspects of the Spartan program.
