York College of Pennsylvania

Rob Andrews comes to York College from Commack High School inNew York. Andrews will have the opportunity to earn innings as afreshman as he will likely be the Spartans’ primary back-upcatcher. Andrews has good overall tools, both offensively anddefensively. Behind the plate, Andrews is a good receiver with anunderstanding of the game. He throws well and should have a verysuccessful four year career. At the plate, Andrews is an aggressivehitter with gap power and the ability to hit for a good average. AtCommack High School, Andrews was a three-year varsity player, atwo-year starter and a captain as a senior. In his senior year,Andrews helped lead Commack to a county chamionship gameappearance. Andrews is a biology major and is the son of Rob andCheryl Andrews.
