Biography

Matt Monti begins his final season in the Green and White in anew position for the Spartans. Monti was York’s third basemanlast year but will patrol centerfield after the graduation of RyanPoff. The move allows Monti to utilize his outstanding athleticability. He has a strong arm and great range as he adapted well tothe position change in the fall. In 2009, Monti started in 39games, hitting .341 with 38 RBI, 13 stolen bases, and two homeruns. Monti is the son of Ken and Christine Monti and is a sportmanagement major.
