2011: Pitched a season-high 67 innings for the Spartans during the year ... registered a 3-8 mark with a 4.84 ERA ... twirled a complete-game win on March 26 at Frostburg State as he threw seven innings, allowing one run on six hits with six strikeouts and two walks as he picked up the win ... also threw a great game on May 7 at Ferrum as he pitched eight innings, allowing no runs on three hits with a career-high 10 strikeouts ... he threw a career-high eight innings twice during the year ... lasted at least five innings in nine of his 12 starts ... struck out at least three batters in seven appearances ... finished the year with 40 strikeouts.

2010: Earned the Capital Athletic Conference Rookie-of-the-Year award after going 5-1 with a 3.10 ERA in 58 innings of work ... had 41 strikeouts and 19 walks as opponents hit .273 against him ... finished second on the squad in strikeouts and third in ERA ... pitched a season-high 7.1 innings in the April 17 game against Wesley while he also recorded a season-high eight strikeouts in that game ... made 16 appearances with seven of those games being a start.

Personal: Is the son of Michael and Barbara Couch and is a Recreation and Leisure major . . . lists Cal Ripken Jr. as his favorite athlete ... lists his parents Michael and Barbara as the people he most admires ... played summer baseball for the WHC Renegades ... earned All-County honors while he was at Centennial High School.
