Biography

Meehan enters his final year in the Green and White as anon-field leader of the Spartans from his position behind the plate.Meehan blossomed last year in his first full year as the Spartanstarter. He is an excellent defensive catcher with a very good armwhich should put the program in a excellent spot behind the dish.Meehan worked very hard this fall on his offensive game adding somepower that should make him a dangerous hitter in the eight hole ofthe Spartan lineup. Offensively, Meehan hit .268 in 71 at-bats lastyear, numbers the coaching staff expects to improve in 2010. Meehanis the son of Jim and Marlene Meehan and is a businessadministration major.
