Biography

Chris Young enters his second year in the Spartan green andwhite looking to secure a starting spot in rightfield for theSpartans. After getting just 49 at-bats as a freshman, Young madeoutstanding progress in the fall as the coaching staff refined hisstroke from the left side. He has worked very hard in the weightroom to gain strength that should pay immediate dividends at theplate. In the field, he is a very good outfielder who reads theball well and his strong arm allows him to prevent opponents takingextra bases. Young is an accounting major and is the son of Jamesand Paula Young
