ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The York College men's soccer squad traveled north to face the University of Rochester, Saturday afternoon. The Spartans scored early and the Yellowjackets evened it up heading into halftime. York scored two more goals in the second half, claiming a 3-1 victory.

How it Happened
The Spartans opened up the scoring in the 9th minute.
Aiden Hall scrambled past Yellowjacket defenders finding
Elaiwe Ikpi who tapped the ball past the goalkeeper for an early 1-0 lead.
The Yellowjackets in the 31st minute knotted up the score on a goal off the boot of Sebastian Ballesteros.
After the half, York took control scoring two goals.
Gavin Huey gave the Spartans the lead in the 66th minute, heading the ball into the net off a throw in by
Talen Popolis.
Greg Proctor added an insurance goal for the Green and White off a 38-yard free kick in the 71st minute.
Jake Bono held down the Spartan goal by making seven saves in the contest.
Rochester outshot the Spartans, 16-10.

The Spartans will travel to Juniata College, Tuesday September 29th for a non-conference contest against the Eagles. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
