Highlights
The Mustangs got on the board first with a Max Racich goal in the opening minute, but the Spartans countered with four-straight tallies and wound up taking a 5-2 lead at the end of the first quarter punctuated by a Davis Fisher man-up goal. Both teams scored four times in the second quarter as the margin remained the same heading into halftime with the Spartans up by three (9-6).

Missed opportunities hurt the Mustangs in the third quarter as they only put four of their 11 shots on goal and committed four turnovers, but only trailed by four (12-8) at quarter's end as Stevenson goalie Tyler Merchant turned away five shots. York eventually turned out the lights on Stevenson in the fourth quarter as the Spartans posted a shutout and killed off three extra-man opportunities by the Mustangs.

The Spartans showed discipline all day and wound up with a season-low six turnovers. York also excelled on the penalty kill as they held Stevenson to 1-for-7 effort in man-up opportunities.
