GRANTHAM, Pa. - The York baseball team closed out their season in the the MAC Commonwealth semifinal series on Friday. The No.4 Spartans defeated the No. 1 Falcons in game one, 6-5, forcing a winner-takes-all third game. The Spartans fell just short in the advancement game, 4-3.

How It Happened
The Falcons jumped out to an early 4-0 lead through the first two innings.
The Green and White got on the board in the third inning.
Luke Moser singled to center field, scoring
Jackson Ford.
Brett Michael followed with an RBI double, cutting Messiah's lead to 4-2.
York took the lead in the sixth inning. Ford hit an RBI single.
Ryan Niedzialkowski followed with a two-run single through the right side, putting York ahead 5-4.
Messiah tied it up in the seventh inning on a bases-loaded hit by pitch.
In the top of the eighth inning, the Spartans took a 6-5 lead. Niedzialkowski hit an RBI single, scoring
Bryce Avery.
Jason Cassidy closed the door for the Spartans, hurling the last two inning. Cassidy allowed just one hit and recorded one strikeout.
Dillon Michaloski started on the bump for York. He tossed five innings and allowed four runs on six hits and two walks. Michalowski struck out two.
Jake Ludwig pitched an inning in relief, allowing one hit and one earned run.
