GRANTHAM, Pa. - The York College men's track and field team captured one medal and two top-eight finishes as they rank eighth out of 16 teams following the conclusion of day two of the Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Messiah University.

The Spartans have compiled 19 points through two days of competition and rank eighth in the 16-team field. Lebanon Valley leads the way with 57 points, followed by Widener (47), Eastern 42, Messiah (32) and Stevens (31) in the top-five.

Highlights
Senior Matt Martin highlighted the day for York as he captured the bronze medal in the decathlon with a 5642. Martin ranked fifth after nine events and catapulted himself into third by winning the 1500 meters to close out the competition. The senior is now a two-time medalist in the decathlon after also capturing bronze last year.

Senior Nick Bordovsky also scored points for York with his fifth-place finish in the discus throw with a season-best toss of 43.67m.

York also had multiple men secure a spot in Saturday's finals which included Ethan Jones (110H) and Shaun Apsley (400H).
