#7 Men’s Lacrosse Cruises to 29-3 Win Over Albright

YORK, Pa. - The No. 7 York men's lacrosse team locked up a Commonwealth postseason berth for the sixth-straight year with a 29-3 victory over Albright at home on Saturday.

Highlights
The Spartans matched their program record for points (53) as they racked up a season-high 29 goals and a program-record 24 assists on the day. York matched their season-high with 58 shots, a number they have hit four times this season, while picking up a season-best 58 ground  balls and recording a season-high 30 faceoff wins.

Eric Kaplan led all players with a career-best eight points on four goals and four assists. Conner Fructuoso, Luke Popielaski and Joey Yukenavitch all netted hat tricks, while Cory Bergmann and Gavin Gismondi each distributed three assists.

The Spartan faceoff unit was led by Dom DeRubbo who won 18 of 23 with a career-best 12 ground balls. Ryan Hudson put together an efficient day with a 12-for-13 performance and eight ground balls. The 30 total faceoff wins ranks second in program history and is just the second time the Spartans have reached the 30-win mark.

The Spartans close out the regular season with two road conference games beginning with a trip to Hood on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. faceoff.
