Men's Track and Field Derek Behrenshausen - Director of Athletic Communications

A Trio of Spartan Men Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. - A trio of members from the York College men's track and field team earned indoor All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-8 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – matching those used during the cross country season.

Senior Aidan Rollinson solidified his all-region honor in the weight throw with a toss of 17.05m (55' 11.25") at the AARTFC Indoor Championship. His top throw of the season ranked third in the region.

Sophomore Andrew Manning also earned an all-region honor in the weight throw as he posted a personal-best distance of 16.72m (54' 10.25") to earn a bronze medal at the MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. His throw finished fifth in the region this season.

Senior Matt Martin earned an all-region honor in the heptathlon as he posted a personal-best and school record score of 4390 with a total of four top-three finishes to earn a silver medal at MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. His score ranked as the fourth-highest in the region this season.

Rollinson capped his indoor career as a three-time All-Region honoree in the weight throw, joining Andrew Mott (shot put) as the only other three-time indoor honoree in program history. Martin is the first honoree in the heptathlon in program history. Manning's honor is the first for his career.
