Spartan Men Capture Four Medals, Sit Third After Day One of MAC Indoor Championships

READING, Pa. - The York College men's track and field team is third out of 16 teams after capturing four medals and seven top-eight finishes on Friday at the 2026 Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Alvernia University.

Lebanon Valley sits atop the team standings with 60.5 points, followed by Widener (44), York (35.5), Eastern (22) and Stevens (21.5) in the top-five.

Highlights
Jonah Arnold led the way for York on the day as he captured gold in the pole vault with a season-best height of 4.29m. Brody Weachter captured bronze for the second-straight year in the event and Emory Best also scored points with a sixth-place finish.

Three Spartans scored points in the weight throw with a pair of medals. Aidan Rollinson captured second for the third year in a row with a season-best throw of 16.97m which recorded on his fifth attempt out of six. Andrew Manning captured his first MAC medal as he finished third with a throw of 16.72m which set a new personal-best record by nearly a full meter. Alex Forbes also scored points with his seventh-place finish and recorded a personal-best throw by over half a meter with a toss of 15.33m.

The DMR team put together their best time of the season by nearly 40 seconds and scored a point with an eighth-place finish.

In the Heptathlon, Isaiah Adamson sits third and Mat Martin ranks fourth with three events to go. The two Spartans combined for four top-three finishes on the day with Adamson winning the 60 meters and taking second in the high jump, while Martin finished third in the shot put and high jump.
