Men’s Basketball Caps Regular Season at Albright

READING, Pa. - The York men's basketball team closed out the regular season with a 77-61 loss at Albright on Saturday.

Albright: 16-9 (12-2 MACC)

Highlights
The Spartans went ahead by as much as 12 points when Cooper Haberern knocked down a three with 8:17 left in the first half. York held a double-digit lead for another minute before the Lions steadily chipped away and took the lead with less than a minute before half time and owned a 31-28 advantage at the break.

The game remained a one-possession battle deep into the second half until Albright scored 10 unanswered points over a two-minute span to take a 13-point lead with 5:09 left. York was unable to recover and the Lions maintained their double-digit lead the rest of the way.

Up Next
York will return to Albright on Wednesday to take on the Lions in a Commonwealth Semifinal matchup at 7 p.m.

Notes
York is now 10-6 all-time against Albright with the Lions winning four of the last five meetings, including the last three … the Spartans are 9-2 on the road this season and the Lions are 8-4 at home … Albright set a program record with their 12th-straight win on Saturday.
