YORK, Pa. - York College senior defender Carissa Baugus has been named the MAC Commonwealth Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 18.

Baugus scored the game-winning goal in York's 6-0 win over Hood as the Spartans went 2-0 in conference play. She also helped a defense that allowed just eight shots, only two on target, across the week.

Baugus and the Spartans travel to No. 6 Messiah on Tuesday before returning home on Saturday to face Alvernia.
