Men’s Basketball Rolls Past Messiah

YORK, Pa. - The York College men's basketball team ran away with a 94-62 victory over Messiah in a Commonwealth matchup inside Charles Wolf Gymnasium on Saturday.

Four Spartans - Tate Landis (22), Jayden Rowe (16), Cooper Haberern (15), Ben Troyer (14) - landed in double-figures as York posted their second-highest point total of the season.

How It Happened
The Spartans found themselves locked up in a tight battle with the Falcons through the first part of the first half as they led, 20-18, with 9:39 left before halftime. From there, York broke the game open as they finished the first half on a 25-12 run to take a 45-30 lead into the break.

Ben Troyer led the charge with seven points down the stretch into halftime and finished the first half with nine. Tate Landis led all players with 15 points at the midway point.

The Spartans continued to roll as the second half unfolded and wound up out-scoring the Falcons, 49-32, in the half while shooting 47.2% from the field, including 52.6% from three-point range.
