Box Score ST. MARY'S CITY, MD – The #14 York College got back on the winning side of the ledger with a 3-0 win over St. Mary's College on Saturday afternoon in St. Mary's City, Maryland.

Not only did the victory get the Spartans back into the win column, it also was the 100th career win for Spartan head coach Katie Fost. Fost entered the year with a mark of 95-46 and Saturday's win was the milestone for the ninth-year Spartan mentor.

York is now 5-2 overall while St. Mary's is also 5-2.

How It Happened
• The first quarter saw the team teams spend the opening seven minutes of the game in the midfield. The Spartans finally started to seize some momentum. York fired off seven total shots with six coming on goal in the final eight minutes of the quarter. York also had four corners in the first quarter as the game remained scoreless despite the Spartans' late-quarter pressure.
• The Spartans finally broke through on the scoreboard 1:44 into the second quarter. A loose ball was played in front of the Seahawk cage. Sophomore Kelbie Linebaugh battled with a trio of St. Mary's defenders as she was able to elevate a shot into the back of the cage for the 1-0 lead. The goal was Haines' second of the year.
• York tacked onto the lead just under three minutes later a Linebaugh forced a turnover at the top of the circle. She stole the ball and took a few touches before flicking the ball into the back of the cage for the 2-0 lead.
• York headed to the half with a 16-0 bulge in total shots, a 13-0 advantage in shots on goal and a 7-0 margin in penalty corners.
• The Seahawks tried to climb back into the game in the third quarter but York continued to pressure the hosts' defense. York out shot the Seahawks 9-1 including 3-1 on goal and 4-1 in corners in the third quarter.
• York added a third goal early in the fourth off a penalty corner. The Spartans inserted the ball to Kate Egan who slipped a pass across the top of the circle to Becca Olsen. Olsen alertly reversed the ball back to Eagan who drilled home the shot for the 3-0 lead.
• The Spartans finished the game with a 27-3 bulge in total shots including 17-1 in shots on goal. York also had a 12-3 margin in penalty corners of which they converted one into a goal for their third tally.
