How It Happened
The Spartans pulled away late to a 25-21 victory in set number one of the night during which there were six ties and two lead changes. After the Lions tied it up, 21-21, York ended the set on a 4-0 run with a kill by Saniya Esters and two by Morgan Nolte. Esters led the Spartans with six kills as she hit .750 while Nolte contributed four kills with a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage.

York trailed 13-7, but came back to win the second set, 25-23, which turned the tide of the match in York's favor. Nolte led the Spartan comeback with five kills down the stretch and finished with six for the entire set. Maddie Hoffman was also superb offensively as she handed out nine assists in the set and Sami Baer hustled to gather up eight digs in the frame.

The Green and White put a bow on the match with a convincing 25-16 win in the third set. York needed just 12 kills and hit .158, but defended the net well with four total blocks and compiled 23 digs. Liz Kerin was responsible for three of those blocks, while Hannah Runyard and Darby Stetter each posted six digs in the final set.
