YORK, PA – The York College men's tennis team placed senior
Ben Dorsey on the 2025 Academic All-MAC squad as announced on Friday morning by the league office.

Dorsey is the first Spartan men's tennis player to earn the award for the Green and White.

The Spring Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2025 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.

Dorsey concluded his Spartan career in helping lead the Green and White to their first-ever MAC Commonwealth championship and their first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in the spring of 2025.

Dorsey had a strong senior campaign as he earned his second MAC All-Commonwealth award. He was also a second-team pick as a sophomore (2022-23) for the Green and White. Dorsey finished the year 10-4 in singles play for York including a 3-1 mark in league play. Dorsey was 7-4 in second singles, 1-0 in third singles and 2-0 in fourth singles as the Spartans captured the conference crown.

Dorsey graduated with a degree in mid-level education. Dorsey was an eight-time Dean's List selection as he graduated with an over GPA of 3.75 and a spring semester GPA of 4.00. Â
