ST. DAVID'S, PA – The York College men's tennis team closed out their 2024-25 regular season with a 7-0 win at Eastern University on Sunday in St. David's, PA.

The Spartans improve to 13-2 overall as they are now one win away from tying for the most wins in a men's season. The 2007-08 Spartan squad went 14-5. York has won seven straight as they finished 5-1 in the MAC Commonwealth. Eastern finished the season 5-12 and 1-4 in the league.

The Spartans captured the second and third doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
Drew Heinzelmann and
Hayden Musser rolled to a 6-0 third doubles win for the Spartans. The Eagles tied York with a first doubles win before
Ian Bartles and
Jason Lutz earned a 6-2 second doubles win to clinch the point.

York rolled in singles play with six straight set victories.
Jason Lutz kicked off singles play with a 6-4, 6-0 first singles win.
Ben Dorsey posted a 6-0, 7-5 second singles win for the Green and White. Heinzelmann earned the winning point with a 6-1, 6-2 third singles victory for York.

Parker Sanders earned a 6-2, 6-2 fourth singles win while
Evan Stehman recorded a 6-1, 6-2 fifth singles win. Musser closed out the Spartan sweep with a 6-0, 6-2 sixth singles win.

The Spartans have now earned the right to host the MAC Commonwealth semifinals as they welcome Albright College to the Myers Tennis Complex on Tuesday afternoon in York. The match is slated for a 3:30 pm start. Â
