The Spartans downed Alvernia 6-1 in MAC Commonwealth play on Wednesday

READING, PA – The York College men's tennis team ran their win streak to four with a 6-1 MAC Commonwealth win at Alvernia University on Wednesday afternoon in Reading.

The Spartans improve to 10-2 overall and 2-1 in the MAC Commonwealth. The Golden Wolves fall to 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the league.

York captured the doubles point with a second doubles win from Ian Bartles and Hayden Musser as they earned a 6-4 win. Jason Lutz and Drew Heinzelmann won the third doubles match by forfeit as Alvernia was unable to field a third doubles team due to injury. The Golden Wolves did earn a 6-0 first doubles win.
