YORK, PA – The York College men's tennis team ran their win streak to three with a 5-2 non-conference win over McDaniel College on a beautiful Monday afternoon at the Myers Tennis Complex in York.
 
The Spartans have now won three straight as they improve to 9-2 with four regular season matches to play. The Green Terror fall to 4-13 for the campaign.
 
York captured the doubles point as they won the first and second doubles matches. Hayden Musser and Drew Heinzelmann combined to post a 7-6 (7-4) first doubles win over Jake Kegley and Drew Ryder. Jason Lutz and Ian Bartles earned a 6-4 second doubles win over Quinn Dietsche and Parth Shah as York took a 1-0 lead to the singles matches.
 
The Spartans continued to play well as they captured four of the six singles matches. Heinzelmann rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 second singles win. Heinzelmann is now 6-1 in singles play for the year. Musser outlasted Dietsche in the third singles match 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 as he improves to 9-2 for the Spartans.
 
Ben Dorsey earned a 6-1, 6-0 fourth singles win over Shah as he is now 6-4. Bartles rolled to a 6-3, 6-0 fifth singles win for the Green and White as he improves to 7-2 for the campaign.
 
The Spartans return to action on Wednesday, April 16 when they head to Alvernia to take on the Golden Wolves in a MAC Commonwealth contest. The match is set for a 3:30 pm start.
