YORK, PA – The York College men's tennis team extended their win streak to six with a 5-2 victory over Dickinson College on Sunday afternoon in York.

The Spartans improve to 6-1 overall while the Red Devils fall to 2-6.

York won the doubles point after Dickinson won the first doubles match 6-2. The Spartans bounced back with a second doubles win as
Evan Stehman and
Ben Dorsey combined for a 6-4 victory.
Hayden Musser and
Drew Heinzelmann teamed up to capture the overall doubles point with a 6-3 third doubles win.

The Red Devils tied the match at one win each as Lucas Bogle won the first singles match. York reclaimed the lead as Stehman earned a 6-2, 7-5 third singles win. The Red Devils tied the match again with a second singles win. However, the Spartans finished off the match with wins in the fourth, fifth and sixth singles matches.

In the fourth singles match, Heinzelmann earned a 6-2, 7-6 (10-8) win to put York up 3-2. Musser posted a 6-4, 6-1 fifth singles victory to secure the overall team victory.
Ian Bartles closed out the match with a 1-6, 6-2, 10-4 win in the sixth singles match.

The Spartans return to action on Saturday, March 29 as they host Messiah College in the MAC Commonwealth opener. The action at the Myers Tennis Complex is set for a 1:00 pm start.
