HEMPFIELD, PA – The York College men's tennis team downed Lancaster Bible 6-1 at the Hempfield Racquet Club on Saturday afternoon.

The Spartans improve to 5-1 overall as they have won five straight matches. The Chargers fall to 2-6 overall.

York captured all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
Evan Stehman and
Parker Sanders earned the 6-1 first doubles win.
Jason Lutz and
Ian Bartles posted a 6-3 second doubles win while
Drew Heinzelmann and
Hayden Musser combined to roll to a 6-0 third doubles win.

York earned wins at first, second, fourth, fifth and sixth singles for the convincing 6-1 win. Sanders earned a 6-1, 6-7, 10-5 first singles win.
Ben Dorsey posted a 6-1, 6-3 second singles win. Stehman rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 fourth singles victory while Heinzelmann posted a 6-0, 6-0 bagel win in the fifth singles match. Bartles completed the win with a 6-2, 6-2 sixth singles win.

The Spartans are off until next Sunday when they host Dickinson College in a non-conference contest. The match is slated for a noon start at the Myers Tennis Complex.
