Spartans Dominate Dickinson to Improve to 6-0

YORK, Pa. - The York men's basketball team led wire-to-wire in a convincing 88-72 victory over Dickinson at home on Wednesday night.

Jayden Rowe led the way with a career-high tying 31 points and now has two 30-point games this season. The Spartans shot a season-best 55.6% from the three-point range with 15 made three pointers as they now have reached double-digits in five of six games.

How It Happened
After an early back-and-forth, the Spartans pulled away and doubled up the Red Devils, 30-14, on a Nick Schroeder free throw with 7:00 left in the first half. York went on to swell the lead to 21 (35-14) on a Jayden Rowe layup with 5:34 left to go before halftime.

York ended the first half with a 43-30 advantage, while shooting 52.0% from the field, including 60.0% from three-point range. Rowe put up gaudy numbers to lead York in the first half as he poured in 21 points on a 7-for-12 shooting performance with a 5-for-9 effort from beyond the arc.

The Spartans opened the second half on a 19-2 run and put the game out of reach as they went up by 30 points (62-32) with 14:31 left on a Ben Troyer trey ball. York finished the second half shooting 50.0% from the floor, including 50.0% from three-point range and 86.7% from the free throw line.

The Spartans remain home for a clash with defending Freedom conference champion Delaware Valley on Saturday at 3 p.m.

York is 18-8 all-time against Dickinson and have won the last nine meetings with the Red Devils, including the last five at home … the Spartans are 3-0 on their home floor, while the Red Devils are 0-6 away from their home floor … all 18 York players saw action on Wednesday and 13 of those players scored points
