Spartan Volleyball Swept at #9 Hopkins

BETHLEHEM, Md. - The Spartan women's volleyball team fell in straight sets at No. 9 Johns Hopkins on Friday night.

How It Happened
The Blue Jays dominated the Spartans as they won by scores of 25-10, 25-15 and 25-16. With the win, Hopkins extended their win streak to six-straight and improved to 7-0 on their home floor, while York dropped their fifth-straight match and fell to 2-7 away from home.

Hopkins hit .321 as a team, which is the fifth time this season they've hit over .300, while racking up 37 kills on 35 assists. Jocelyn Pye led the Blue Jays and all other players with eight kills on the night and her teammate Ella Wismer ranked second with seven kills. A trio of Blue Jays, Helena Swaak (12), Annika Anderson (11) and Emma Wang (10), posted double-digit assists.

The Spartans were held to a season-low 16 kills and a season-worst -.013 attack percentage. Liz Kerin led the way for York in both kills (5) and blocks (3). Sami Baer led the Spartans with 11 digs as she posted double-digit digs for the seventh-straight match.
