GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The York College men's cross country team finished 11th out of 34 teams at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational hosted by Gettysburg College on Saturday.

Junior Brandon Marcelo led the way for York for the first time this season with a personal-best time of 26:51.20 to finish 65th out of 316 runners.

Freshman Charles Maccarelli ranked second for the Spartans with a 73rd-place finish at a season-best pace of 26:59.1.

The next four Spartans were separated by just 14 spots led by senior Joshua Smoot who led the pack in 83rd place with a personal-best time of 27:09.6. Sophomore Tylor Druckemiller came in 89th place with a personal-best time of 27:20.5, followed by freshman William Mayberry in 94th place with a season-best time of 27:29.8 and junior Isaac Gower-Hall who finished 97th at a pace of 27:31.8.

Sophomore Michael Sherman rounded out York's top-seven with a 111th-place finish at a personal-best pace of 27:40.6.

The Spartans return to the course on Saturday, November 1 at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships hosted by Delaware Valley University.
