How It Happened
The Spartans stormed out to a 5-1 first quarter lead and won all seven draw controls in the period. Sydney Mentzer scored twice in the first period and Gianna Huet tallied a pair of assists on York's opening run.

Messiah's Hayley Lettinga netted the first goal of the second period, but the Spartans ripped off five straight to end the period to take a 10-2 halftime lead. Huet led York with two goals in the second which she scored 11 seconds apart. Goalie Bella Garabo stifled the Falcons with four saves on just six total shots faced.

Lettinga also opened the scoring to start the third quarter, but that stood as the only Falcon goal of the period as York scored three unanswered with Zoe Kluegel registering a pair of assists to give the Spartans a 13-3 lead.

The Falcons ended the game on a high note as they out-scored York in the fourth quarter, 3-1.
