Pitchers of Record
WP: Nicole Ortega (12-1)
LP: Natalie Rietema (9-6)
Sv: Sydney Adolfson (1)

How It Happened
  • The Spartans left two stranded, but managed to get a run in the top of the first on an Emma Wade RBI-single up the middle which drove in Gretchen Barstad. The Sea Gulls countered with three runs in the bottom half of the first beginning with a bases-loaded walk by Lauren Myers, followed by a two-run single by Carrie Jaoby.
  • After adding another run in the second, Salisbury broke open an 8-1 lead with four runs on four hits in the fourth inning. A costly Spartan error led to two runs which opened the scoring and the Sea Gulls posted back-to-back RBI-singles to tack on the final two runs of the frame.
  • Salisbury went hitless in the fifth and sixth which opened the door for York. The Spartans posted two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings, but left a total of four runners stranded as their rally came up short. Sydney Adolfson sealed the Salisbury win as she retired the York lineup in order in the seventh to collect the save.
  • Nicole Ortega picked up her 12th win of the year as she struck out seven and walked four through 6.0 innings of work. Natalie Rietema took the loss as she only made it through one third of an inning while allowing three runs on two hits with three walks.
