The Spartans got off to a good start in the match as they won two of the three doubles matches. The second doubles combo of
Hannah Sult and
Maddi Haggerty secured an 8-1 win to get the Green and White on the board. The Bears knotted the score at one with an 8-4 third doubles win. The Spartans tandem of
Elsa Oestermarker and
Bri Serruto earned an 8-5 first singles win to give York the 2-1 lead heading to singles.

Unfortunately for York, the Bears would rally and capture the final four singles of the match. Ursinus clinched the win in the third singles match as Avery Samer outlasted Serruto in a back-and-forth contest, 6-4, 7-5.
Oestermarker continues to march to the Spartan all-time singles wins record as she is currently two back of Spartan legend Katie Wagner. Wagner owns the record with 41 victories while Oestermarker now has 39 for her outstanding Spartan career. Beck improves to a team-leading 6-2 in singles play for the Spartans.
The Spartans are now off for 16 days as they don't return to the court until April 6 when they host Eastern University in the MAC Commonwealth opener for the Green and White. The match is set for 1:00 pm. Six of the Spartans' final matches of the year will be league contests.
