How It Happened

The Eagles prevailed 25-21 in an epic back-and-forth third set which had nine ties and five lead changes. The Spartans edged out a 14-10 lead only to have the Eagles fight back to tie the set, 18-18. Eastern went on to finish the set on a 7-3 run aided by six attack errors by the Spartans.

After a few ties and lead changes early, the Eagles broke out of a 6-6 tie with a 19-5 run to win the fourth set, 25-11. Eastern compiled 15 kills and hit .333 led by Hannah Pringle and Natalie Saxton who had five kills each.
