How it Happened

Alyssa Mott's precise serving. McDaniel was down to their last point before battling for three consecutive points to edge York out 26-24 in the first quarter of the matchup.

The highlight of the entire match was probably
Jasmine Doguin's leaping diving play to keep the ball from touching the floor which eventually led to a Spartan point and proved to be a momentum swinger en route to a 25-23 set two win.
• The third match was where the Green and White really found their groove, as the led the entire way en route to a 25-18 victory. York got the job done early and often in the third matchup with Dougin and Mott recording aces to jump out to an early advantage. McDaniel did battle back and the Spartans saw their lead shrink to two with a small 20-18 advantage late, but convincingly scored the next five points to secure the set win.
• Fifth year senior
Abby Diehl was everywhere in the decisive set, assisting or scoring on eight Spartan points. This was York's most decisive set win of the afternoon, winning by a tally of 25-16.
