YORK, PA – The York College women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Salisbury University in non-conference action on Sunday in York.
The Spartans have their modest two game win streak snapped as they fall to 6-4 while the Sea Gulls improve to 9-3 overall.
The three doubles matches were all decided by identical 8-4 scores with the Sea Gulls sweeping all three decisions.
The Spartans got their lone win of the match in the first singles match up as York's
Elsa Oestermarker earned a 3-6, 6-2, 11-9 win in her match against Katherine Tamesis. The other five singles matches would be won by Salisbury in straight sets.
The Spartans return to action on Wednesday when they head to Messiah University to take on the Falcons in MAC Commonwealth action. The match is slated for a 3:30 pm start.
