YORK, PA – The York College men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 non-conference decision to Marymount University in a make-up match on Friday at the Myers Tennis Complex.

The Spartans fall to 5-8 overall while the Saints improve to 12-4.

The Saints jumped out to an early lead with two wins in the three doubles matches. Marymount won the first doubles contest 8-1 and the second doubles match 8-2. York managed to get one point with an 8-7 (7-1) third doubles win from Jason Lutz and Hayden Musser.

The Saint won the first three singles matches in straight sets to secure the team win. York got a fourth singles win from Lutz as he bested Joshua Nolen 6-4, 6-2. Lutz improves to 5-0 in singles play with the win. The Spartans got another win in the sixth singles match up as Musser defeated Nathaniel Tesfaye 6-3 6-1.

The Spartans return to action on Sunday, April 16 as they head to Reading to play the Alvernia Golden Wolves.
