CARLISLE, PA – The York College men's tennis squad dropped their first road game of the fall, losing to Dickinson College 8-1 on Thursday in Carlisle.

The Spartans are now 0-2 on the fall portion of their schedule while the Red Devils improve to 4-0 with the non-conference win.

The Red Devils picked up the first two doubles points by scores of 8-1. The Spartans battled in the second doubles match as Jason Lutz and Hayden Musser fought before falling to Drew Allen and Florian Anderson 8-5.

The Red Devils began the singles flights with a 6-0, 6-0 fifth singles win by Spencer Goodman. The Spartans' lone singles win came from Lutz as he earned a 6-1, 6-4 second singles win. Lutz improves to 1-1 in singles play for the year.

The first, third and fourth singles ended in straight sets in favor of Dickinson. Ian Bartles extended his sixth singles match to a tiebreaker before Nick Kohler posted a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 victory.

The Spartans return to action on Saturday afternoon as they head to Gettysburg College to take on the Bullets. The match is slated for a noon start on Saturday.
