READING, PA – The York College volleyball squad picked up their fourth straight win as they downed Albright 3-0 on the road in Reading on Wednesday night. The game scores were 25-22, 25-9, and 25-18.
The Spartans improve to 14-7 overall and 3-2 in the Commonwealth. The Lions fall to 13-8 overall and 0-5 in the league.

How It Happened
• The Spartans got off to a very fast start in set number one as York led 7-0 to kick off the match. The Lions battled back and eventually tied the set at 14 on a Spartan service error. York went on a 9-3 run as
Gianna Krinock had three kills while
Jennifer Taylor added two. The Lions scored four straight points to draw to within two at 23-21. The Spartans scored two of the final three points of the set to win 25-22.
• The second set was close early as the Spartans held a 10-7 lead through 17 points. York went on a 15-2 run to end the set with a 25-9 win. A Krinock kill ended the run as the Spartans went up 2-0.
• The third set saw the Spartans race out to a 6-2 lead. The York lead grew to 10-5 but the Lions crept back into the set as they cut the Spartan lead to 14-13. York scored seven of the next ten points to push out to a 21-17 lead. York closed out the match with a 4-1 run to win 25-18. Krinock had three kills in the final four points as York won their fourth straight.

The Spartans return home for their final four home games of the year starting Friday night against Dickinson. The match is set for a 6:30 pm start. York will then host Marymount and Cheney in a tri-match on Saturday before closing out their home slate next Tuesday against Widener.
