YORK, PA – The York College men's tennis squad dropped a 9-0 non-conference decision to Gettysburg College on a sun-splashed Friday afternoon in York.

The Bullets improve to 2-0 overall while the Spartans fall to 0-4.

Gettysburg captured all three doubles points to seize the early lead. They earned an 8-2 first doubles win and an 8-0 third doubles win. The Spartans' second doubles team of Jason Lutz and Hayden Musser battled but ended up falling 8-5 in the second doubles match.

Gettysburg captured the first three singles flights in straight sets while the Bullets won the other three singles matches in an eight-game pro set.

The Spartans were scheduled to return to action on Saturday but their match at Marymount (Va.) was postponed due to the wet forecast for the region. York will now close out their fall season on Sunday when they host Rutgers-Camden in a non-conference contest. The match is set for a 12:00 pm start.
