ANNVILLE, PA – The Spartan men's tennis team opened MAC Commonwealth play with a 9-0 loss at Lebanon Valley on Saturday in Annville.
The Spartans fall to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the MAC Commonwealth while the Dutchmen improve to 8-5 overall and 1-0 in the league.
The Dutchmen swept the doubles matches as they won the first doubles 8-3, the second doubles 8-2 and third doubles 8-4.
Lebanon Valley captured the six singles matches in straight sets.
The Spartans have been shut out twice this season while their other two losses have come via 8-1 scores.
York returns to action on Tuesday afternoon when they host Messiah in a Commonwealth contest. The match is slated for a 3:30 pm start.
