COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The York College men's tennis team returned to action on Saturday with a trip to Ursinus College. The Bears bested the Spartans 7-2 as Ursinus improves to 2-0 while the Spartans fall to 1-2.
The Bears swept the three doubles flights to open the match. They won the first doubles match 8-1, the second 8-3 and the third 8-4.
Ursinus captured the first three singles matches before
Ben Dorsey earned a 6-2, 4-1 (retired) win in the fourth singles match against Noah Mandel. The Spartans got their singles win from
Hayden Musser in the sixth singles match. Musser defeated Storm Snape 6-2, 6-4.
The Spartans return to action on Sunday morning as they will host Marymount University in a non-conference contest. The match is slated for an 11 am start in York.
