YORK, PA – The York College men's tennis team closed out their 2022 fall campaign with an 8-1 setback against Catholic University in a non-conference match in York.
The Spartans concluded their fall season with a mark of 2-3 while the Cardinals earned their first fall win as they improved to 1-3.
The Spartans got their lone point of the match in the second double contest.
Jack Leinbach and
Ben Dorsey combined to post an 8-5 win over Diego Robles and Juan Gomez Vitta. The Cardinals won the first and third doubles matches by identical 8-4 scores.
The Cardinals won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. The lone exception came in the fourth singles match as Dorsey extended Henry Ogden to three sets before falling 10-8 in the third set.
The Spartans will release the spring portion of their schedule in November and will likely return to action in March.
