YORK, PA – The York College women's swim team participated in their second Middle Atlantic Conference virtual meet this weekend. The Spartan women finished fourth of ten teams at the event as they totaled 227 points. Stevens captured the team title with 433.5 points. Misericordia placed second with 340 points while Arcadia finished third with 240 points, 13 in front of York. Albright rounded out the top five with 191 points.
The meet featured each team swimming five events to come up with a team score. The teams competed in the 100 fly, the 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 100 freestyle and the 100 IM. Each swimmer was clocked and the results organized and scored. Any swimmer who swam all five events was eligible to be named the "Queen of the Pool".
Alyssa Coon, last week's MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week, finished as the top Spartan Queen of the Pool swimmer as she placed 12th. Coon finished sixth in the fly, fifth in the free, and 11th in the IM. She led the Spartans with 65 points.
Colleen Mahoney had a strong meet as she had a third-place finish in the backstroke, a 14th place finish in the IM, a 20th place finish in the fly and a 22nd place finish in the free. Mahoney totaled 48 team points for the Green and White.
Megan Kane scored for York in three races with a tenth in the fly, 12th in the free and another 12th in the IM. Kane registered 47 team points for York.

The Spartans will compete in their first in-person dual meet of the year as they travel to Frederick, Maryland to face Hood College in a MAC Commonwealth contest. The meet is slated for a 1:00 pm start on Saturday.
