Women’s Swimming Edges Out Washington For Big Road Win

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - The York College women's swimming team pulled out a 136-120 victory at Washington (Md.) on Saturday for their second-straight win.

The Spartans improved 3-1 overall this season and the Shorewomen fell to 2-5.

York compiled 21 top-three finishes on the day including seven individual wins and one relay victory.

Senior Isabella Klemm led York with three individual wins in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 IM, while also contributing to a victory in the 200 medley relay. Klemm also set the pool records for the 100 and 200 breaststroke including a 13-second margin of victory in the 200 breast.

Sophomore Annika Doutrich nabbed multiple wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle, while contributing to a win in the 200 medley relay.

Senior Camden Perella posted a trio of top-three finishes in the 100 freestyle (1st), 200 freestyle (2nd) and 100 butterfly (3rd). She also played a role on the winning 200 medley relay team.

Sophomore Annie Custis also captured a win in the 50 freestyle with a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle, while also contributing to a victory in the 200 medley relay.
