YORK, PA – The York College men's basketball squad got a double-double from senior
David Giuliani as they posted an 82-63 win over Dickinson in the season opener for both squads. The Spartans playing for the first time in 612 days, earned the season opening win over Dickinson for the third straight season.

How It Happened
• The game was close over the opening five minutes of the game. The game was tied at seven on a
Riley Dobraniecki hoop followed by a
Jackson Mascari lay up to put the Spartans up two. The Red Devils would battle back, tying the game at 17 on a Jack Tierney three pointer. The Spartans then fashioned a 20-4 run turning the tie into a 37-21 lead with 2:06 left in the first half. York had seven different players score on the run as they seized control of the game.
• York took a 39-24 lead to the break. York held Dickinson to 25% shooting from the floor in the first half while the Green and White converted 15-of-24 (62.5%) from the field. York also went 5-for-8 from three in the opening 20 minutes of play.
• The Spartans came out of the half and pushed the lead to 18 just a minute and a half into the stanza. The Red Devils went on an 8-0 run to cut the Spartan lead to 10 at 44-34. York responded with a 10-1 run of their own to push the lead to a game-high 19 points.
• Dickinson made one final run, cutting the York lead to nine at 68-59 with 4:19 left in regulation. York answered the bell as
Sean Kelly hit a pair of clutch free throws and
Logan Collins hit a highlight fall away jumper on the baseline to built the lead back to 13 with 2:59 left in regulation. York would outscore the Red Devils 10-4 over the final 2:15 to salt away the win.

The Spartans head to Trenton, New Jersey to play in the TCNJ Tip-Off Tournament on Friday and Saturday. York faces Drew in the second semifinal game at 7:00 pm on Friday night. They will then play TCNJ or Saint Elizabeth in the championship or consolation round on Saturday.
