How It Happened:
• The Captains struck early as goalie Justin Piercy sent a long pass that bounced over the Spartan defensive unit and found the foot of Justin Wilson. Wilson hit a chip over Spartan goalie Billy Bridegum for his second goal of the year in the third minute of the game.
• Wilson made it 2-0 in the 21st minute as Will Collins hit a pass off the end line that Wilson finished for his second goal of the night.
• CNU outshot the Spartans 7-3 in the first half while York had a 2-1 edge in corner kicks.
• The Captains closed out the scoring in the 72nd minute as Lincoln Kickbush notched his third goal of the year finishing off a chance in the middle of the box. York would put five shots on target in the second half but Piercy earned the shutout with eight saves.
