Spartans Score Late, Escape With 2-1 Victory

ASTON, PA – The York College men's soccer team found the back of the net in the final minutes of regulation to steal a 2-1 win over non-conference foe Neumann University on a cool Saturday evening.

How It Happened

• The Spartans got on the board first and early in the 6th minute when Isiah Dorsey was on the receiving end of a Tony Mosqueira corner kick and finished the play to give York an early 1-0 advantage.

• Only ten minutes later, the Knights got a goal back on an unassisted strike from Gavin Ford to level the score 1-1. The teams would go back and forth for the remainder of the half and the score remained deadlocked at the break.

• After a scoreless 41 minutes of the second half, Brook Addisu capitalized off a header in a large group in front of the net after a pass from a sharp angle by Danny Morgan in the 87th minute.  The late score held for the final minutes and the Spartans escaped with a 2-1 victory.
