How It Happened:
• It didn't take long for the Captains offense to get going as Riley Cook was on the receiving end of a Maxine Borris cross fro the right wing the Cook was able to head into the net passed the Spartan keeper to give CNU an early 1-0 lead in the 9th minute.
• CNU added a second first-half goal in the 38th minute after another cross from the right wing, this time by Kayla Locklear that found the foot of Kristina Toms who knocked the ball in off the post to put the Spartans in a 2-0 hole going into the break.
• The Captains got an insurance goal around the midway point through the second period off a free kick from about 45 yards out by LuLu Manley to extend the CNU advantage to 3-0.
• In the final minute of regulation, CNU added a final score by Hailey Price after she cut through the defense on the left wing and put the ball in the back of the net.
